Retired Supervisory Special Agent (FBI) Mark Stephen Jimerson
passed away peacefully, from brain cancer, on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home in Mitchellville, MD at the age of 59 surrounded by his loving family.
Mark was bron in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 7, 1953 to the union of Louise B. Jimerson and the late Chance Jimerson.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Wendy Jimerson; his daughter, Stephania Mahdi; son, Mark E. Jimerson; and granddaughter, Yasmeen Mahdi. He was the youngest of seven siblings, Alvin (Zella) Valentine and Victor (JoAnn) Valentine of Madison, Illinois, Willard (Sandra) Valentine of Portland, Oregon, Terrance Jimerson of Madison, Illinois; sisters, Autumn Ann Mitchell of Redondo Beach, CA, Shirlee Sue (Larry) Coleman of Flower Mound, TX, and a host of loving nephews, nieces, family and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father Chance Jimerson; nephew, Larry Coleman, Jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Curry Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jimerson.
Mark confessed a hope of Christ at an early age and continues to actively serve the Largo Community Church until his health failed. Mark had a smile that truly radiated the room. He enjoyed the Drama Ministry, speaking Russian, physical fitness, playing the coronet and working in the church. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 25 years retiring at FBI HQ, Washington, DC as a Supervisory Special Agent in 2008. He graduated from Madison Senior high School in 1971. He graduated from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Russian in 1981. He completed his Masters of Science in National Strategies at the Marine Corps War College, Department of the Navy in 2005.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves from 1973-1979.
