Stewart Family Scholarship Fund

To celebrate their 100 year legacy and express their deep appreciation to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan community, the family is broadening its contribution to the community through the establishment of the Stewart Funeral Home Fund.

The objectives of the fund are to provide educational opportunities through scholarships for students and assist with emergency contingencies faced all too often by neighborhood families. The Stewart Funeral Home Fund seeks to do much more; to transform the challenges confronting our communities into confident opportunities for all of us to share an increasingly more rewarding array of civic responsibilities. This is the rich Tradition of Stewartship and trademark for the Stewart Funeral Home family. The Stewart Funeral Home Fund is established in tribute to John T. Stewart, Jr., a visionary leader who expanded the professional goals and civic responsibilities of the Stewart family.
